Tips for Replacing the PCM            Although this PCM is plug-and-play, you can face challenges during installation:            Your vehicle's battery can cause an electrical surge. Always disconnect it before removing the non-working PCM. Reconnect the battery after you swap out the parts.            Locating the old PCM can also cause difficulties. It can be near, behind or under other parts in a variety of areas, such as in the console, instrument panel and climate control system or under a seat. You might need to disassemble or remove parts to reach it.            A PCM is a learning engine computer. You might need to go on a test drive or allow the vehicle to idle for a specific amount of time to update it. Check the service manual for details. If the manual is unavailable, drive your vehicle above 35 mph immediately after installation.
